When should you book your session?
I typically book about 2 weeks in advance. The sooner you give me a call, the higher your chance of getting the day and time that you want.
Where will you take our pictures?
I shoot on-location and use natural light. We can shoot at a location of your choice (such as your home or a favorite park) or I can give you a couple of ideas. Natural light doesn’t have to bright sunny skies. Cloudy skies work well too. We won’t reschedule unless it’s just raining and nasty! Most session are scheduled about 2 hours before sunset.
Do you have a studio?
Not yet, but that is a dream of mine!!
Do you do travel sessions?
I love to travel so this is a new avenue that I am working on for this year. I would love to bring destination family photography to you. Travel fees will depend upon the city and state. Of course, if there are multiple families booked in your city, the travel fees would be greatly reduced. Email me if you are interested and we will work to make this happen.
What should we wear?
What you decide to wear for your session is an important decision to make. Think Simple! I want YOU to shine, not your clothing. Make sure that whatever you wear, you are comfortable. Here are some tips:
Children: Dress your children in clothes that are colorful and unique. I love little girls in bright colored outfits with adorable accessories like boots or scarves. Boys look great in a more traditional jeans and classic shirt combination and if he loves hats, bring some along. There’s nothing cuter than a boy in a hat. You are more than welcome to bring an extra outfit or two.
Seniors and Teens: I want to see your senior or teen in clothes that reflect their personality. My sessions are fun and laid back and I allow time for changing into different outfits. Accessories are always a hit: beautiful jewelry, hats, scarves, boots, you name it.
Groups: Groups are a little trickier. You need to make sure that you wear neutral colors or at least colors that compliment each other. Jeans are a safe bet, especially when paired with complimentary shirts for each family member. If your session is in the fall or winter, hats and scarves are a great accent.

How long will the session last?
Your session will usually last from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the type of session you choose and if the children are having fun.
How many images will I get?
That depends upon the type of session you booked. Your online gallery will contain anywhere between 15 and 50 images.
How long will it take for my images to be in the online gallery?
Approximately two weeks after your session, I will email you with a link and password to your online gallery.
How long do I have to choose my prints?
Your gallery is active for 28 days. All orders must be received and paid for by the end of that period.
Online galleries that have expired may be re-activated for a $25 fee.
