A fresh start.
The perfect time to refocus.
To reflect on the past year: the good, the bad, what worked, what didn’t.
A great time to clean house..in more ways than one.
I don’t really make resolutions.
They never last long when I do.
So I just try to focus on a few things.
Hopefully I can follow through with them.
One Little Word.
This year it is LOVE.

Sounds simple enough.
Not always. That’s what I want to work on. The times when it’s not easy to love.
I will need His help on this but I will work on this everyday.
Isn’t that what we are supposed to do.
#30day30bags
Becky Novacek inspired me to clean the clutter.
I don’t like a lot of clutter in my house. But don’t open a closet or cabinet. You never know what will pop out.
So for the next 30 days (or so)..I will tackle those closets and cabinets in my home and get rid of the junk.
Whether it’s bound for Goodwill, trash or my daughter’s house…
It’s out of here.

Yesterday I came up with 3 bags for Goodwill and 3 bags for trash and that was just stuff in the backroom that accumulated during the Christmas season.
I downloaded this app.
I really am bad about taking everyday photos with my camera lately. It’s because of the phone. It’s just so easy.
So I figured I would do this all year and then at the end I could make a 2013 album.

This sums up January 1, 2013. It was a lazy day. Snuggled up looking through home decorating books, watching tv and reading.
It was a glorious day.
A few, simple things to focus on this year.
I know I can do this.
How about you? What are you going to focus on this year? I would love to hear all about it.

Love is such a powerful
thing to focus on; that
is a wonderful way to take
on 2013!
I have some projects
that have been on the
back burner the last few
years that I’m going to
bring to the front ~ and
turn up the flame : )
Happy 2013, Traci.

What a great word for the year! I am sooo so bad with the 365 projects. I have never made it out of January. Ditto for project 52. I want to recommit to taking better photos this year. And I am definitely getting that 30 bags in 30 days urge since I saw it on Instagram. As always, you inspire me in so many ways. I hope that 2013 is a happpy and healthy year for you and all of your family. Happy New Year, sweet friend!!
LoVe your word for the year, Traci!
And, as always with the new year, I feel the urge to purge…don’t know if I can clear all the clutter in 30 days…might be more like 60 or 90 for me;-D.
I was just thinking about that app today!! Maybe it’ll motivate me;)
Love is such a great word. I am also wanting to declutter and hoping to do so more this weekend. I’ll have to check out the project 365… Have a great day.
Forgot to say…. I love the new blog header! Gorgeous!
Love is the perfect word to focus on. I’m trying to clean out a few corners around here too. I can’t stand clutter, so I’ve been stockpiling things for donation and a sale. I’d love to do a 365 too…but here it is three days into the year and I haven’t taken one photo. Happy New Year
We must all be in that same mode, because I have been cleaning out stuff too. It feels so good to purge some stuff, especially when you can pass it along to someone less fortunate.
I loved seeing your Christmas photos, Traci! I was shocked at how grown up your nieces looked! Happy new year!
What a good post…thinking along the same lines and making sure I only do (especially creatively) what I would love to do/make. Forgiveness… is big and hard! I need help from above on that one too.
