it has been a while since i’ve posted some book recommendations.
with summer in full swing, my piles of books are large and my reading appetite is larger.
i love sitting outside on my swing getting lost in another time and place.
Signs of Life by Natalie Taylor

a true story of a young woman whose husband dies shortly before she gives birth to their first child. her book is raw and emotional. what she is feeling during her journey. i could feel her pain and hurt and then her slow climb out of darkness. wonderful book.
Chosen by a Horse by Susan Richards

Get this book!!!
another true story. susan rescues a horse. sounds simple enough. what follows is an amazing love story. i couldn’t put this book down. i still get emotional when i think of it. makes me want to rescue a horse.
coming up for air by patti callahan henry

i admit i chose this book because of the pretty cover.
a true summer read. ellie’s marriage is a little stale. when her mother passes away, she heads to a summer house where her mother stayed in the 60′s to find out a little more about her past. enter handsome old boyfriend and some great locations and you have the perfect summer read. i liked this book and picked up another one by the same author.
3 books to get you going.
do you have any recommendations for me?

There is nothing like a good book in the summertime, is there? I have been finding a lot of good freebies for kindle lately (You can add them to your ipad instead) and have been reading up a storm. I have added the last one to my wish list and will definitely be reading it this summer. Have a great week!
I added Signs of Life to my Goodread list a few days ago.
I would like to make a proposal that some day, month, year…you host a book club weekend at your cabin.
