THE CREATIVE CONNECTION

I keep finding myself lost in memories of our trip to Minnesota.

I want to walk back through the buildings and look closer at all the treasures in each booth.

I know I missed so many goodies.

I want to sit at Dunns Brothers Coffee and have another pumpkin cheescake muffin, or two.

I’ll just have to wait for next year.

The Creative Connection was going on in Minneapolis the same weekend.

We took Tracey to visit her sister and Jen and I headed downtown to visit the CC Marketplace.

The creativity and talent was just swirling around the room.

So many beautiful items.

And lots and lots of jewelry.

 {last 3 images were taken at Kris’ booth - Cherished Designs}

I think I spent more money here than at Junk Bonanza.

This event had keynote speakers and classes but we didn’t do any of that this year.

I will definately consider it for next year.

Many successful women reaching out to inspire others to live their dream.

We saw quite a few “famous” faces.

And our little Jen (aka, Polly Pocket) was the first to approach, introduce and chat with them.

Jen is quite the networker.

I wish I had a tenth of her gumption.

I tend to hang in the shadows.

That girl is a leader.

I can’t wait to see where her journey leads her.

It will be amazing.

So there you have it, all the photos from a super, duper weekend filled with junk, girlfriends, bloggers, jewelry, laughs, creativity, great coffee, cameras, a crazy trucker with a knife, fun boots, green talk, and so much more.

Wait, did you catch that?

A crazy trucker with a knife?

Yep, that’s right.

That’s a whole ‘nother story.

Yikes.

Have a great day!

xo!!

JUNK BONANZA WEEKEND- VOLUME 1

 I say volume because that is the amount of photos I took…volume upon volume.

I won’t bore you with all of them, I promise.

But I will show plenty so you can feel like you were there if you were not lucky enough to go.

I am starting off with the best part of the whole weekend……

FRIENDS

…..the friends I had and the friends I made.

By far the high point of the trip.

I traveled to Minnesota with these two ladies.

{Jen and Tracey}

By far 2 of the most talented, creative women I have met.

Plus they are fun and thoughtful and crazy and sweet.

 Anne Marie was supposed to go with us, but circumstances prevented it.

Those damn circumstances.

We missed her so much and thought of her often.

Especially when we were singing in the car.

I also met so many bloggers and artists that I have admired for a long time.

It is so fun to meet.

To find out that you like them so much more now that you have talked and shared in person.

{Beth Quinn talking camera talk with Jen and Tracey}

Beth makes amazing jewelry with beautiful, inspiring messages.

I bought a necklace and LOVE it!!

{Jill from Forever Cottage}

Jill has amazing style and designed a gorgeous table setting at JB.

She also coordinated a blogger party Friday night at this adorable little coffee shop.

That night I met so many great new friends who share a love for anything creative and blogging.

What a group huh?

Sorry about the wonky color, crazy lights and white balance threw us off all weekend.

I think we finally got it figured out though.

We headed over to Creative Connection for a while on Saturday.

So glad we did, the talent in that room was out of this world.

I kind of bought a lot there.

Sshhhhh, don’t tell my husband.

Just kidding, he could care less.

Bless his heart.

{Lisa Leonard}

I love Lisa’s jewelry.  I have a couple of her pieces.

They are so special.

Plus she takes beautiful photographs.

{Tiffany from The Fancy Farmgirl}

Tiffany is a photographer too.

Love her style.

And her chicken coop – Check that out on her blog – AMAZING!!

We ran into Suzanne and her beautiful daughter too.

Extra bonus.

Some day, her daughter will be displaying at CC.

She’s an ispiring, talented artist.

We’ll be hearing from her!!

So, there you have it.

Volume One.

I will be back later this week with some of the great displays and treasures.

And a glimpse of Jen, our little Polly Pocket, who is a master of meeting new people and networking.

Thanks girls for a Super weekend.

xo!
