What a week

What a week it’s been.

The explosion in Texas, bombs in Boston and floods in the Midwest.

I am glad that today is Sunday and I am about to go to Mass.

I need some words of love from God.

So thankful for the blessings amid the tragedy.

Sometimes it’s hard to see them, but it’s what we are supposed to do.

Have a blessed day!

Sea Salt Brownies

I love the combination of sweet and salty.

Who doesn’t?

And when the sweet part is chocolate….well need I say more.

I came upon this recipe on Pinterest {of course} and had to give it a try.

I cut back on the amount of unsweetened cocoa and substituted Cup 4 Cup gluten free flour.

YUM!!

If I hadn’t given up chocolate for lent, I would be whipping up another batch right now.

So I will live through you gals.  Go ahead and try this and let me know what you think.

Happy New Year

I am so lucky that my kids never grumble and groan about getting their photos taken.

I think they actually enjoy it.

This year they were on me to get it done.

They were good, the dogs were good.

And the perfect holiday card photo was made.

Then the kids wanted to have a little fun.

Ideas were flowing…laughter was heard.

They had their dad in mind.

They knew he would love one a little less perfect.

Happy New Years from me and my hell raisers.
