Today

What a beautiful day!! The sun is shining and it’s supposed to get up around 40 degrees here. Yes!! I am so happy to have the newlyweds back home.

I missed them so much. Don’t they look so happy?

Roger and I are truly blessed with a great son-in-law and we know he is going to take great care of our little girl.

Today is the start of Lent.
A wonderful time of year.
This year I am giving up chocolate and Diet Coke.
I stopped drinking DC about a year ago, but lately have found myself falling back into it’s traps.
So this is the perfect time to banish it again.
I am also spending more time digging into the Bible and my spirituality.
I have a photo session today with a dear friend of mine from Chicago.
Can’t wait to see her!!

Have a wonderful day my friends!!

Book Love

Good morning!!

Monday again.  Time sure does fly.

I took some time off the computer this weekend and it felt wonderful.

I really need to evaluate the time I spend on this baby.

By doing that I found all kinds of extra time.

Imagine that.

I organized photos so that maybe this year I can get back to some scrapbooking.  I truly miss that hobby.

I spent some time at the studio.

My husband and I went to the Professional Bull Riders show in Chicago.

And on Sunday, after mass and Sunday lunch (two activities I truly love), I sat down in my cozy chair with some magazines and books.

It was a wonderful day.

I just finished reading Love Does by Bob Goff.

I highly recommend this book.

I’ll start by saying I would love to meet this man.

What an amazing human being.

Each chapter is itself a little story about love.  A story from his life.  An example of how we should live and love.

Love is at the core of everything he does.  Yes, DOES!  Love is not just a feeling.  To him it is ACTION!!

It makes me want to DO!!

I enjoyed each chapter.  Laughed and retold the stories to my family.  I even took a few notes.

This book definitely left an impact.

When I finished that, I started a new one.

A novel by Lee Woodruff called Those We Love Most.

I loved her first book, In an Instant, so I knew this would be a good one.

I am already over 100 pages into it.

Very good so far.

Can’t wait til tonight to open it back up.

But that has to wait until I get a few things done around the house

Like clean off my desk….again.

Jeesh.  Why do I let piles accumulate?

Have a great day ladies!!

Happy New Year

I am so lucky that my kids never grumble and groan about getting their photos taken.

I think they actually enjoy it.

This year they were on me to get it done.

They were good, the dogs were good.

And the perfect holiday card photo was made.

Then the kids wanted to have a little fun.

Ideas were flowing…laughter was heard.

They had their dad in mind.

They knew he would love one a little less perfect.

Happy New Years from me and my hell raisers.
